Creme brulee

The "Bredele", "Bredala" or "Bredle" are biscuits, traditionally made in Alsace during the Christmas holidays. Recipes have been handed down from generation to generation!

The history of the Bredele is difficult to establish. It is necessary to go back to the 14th century to find the first recipes of Bredele in Strasbourg in Alsace. The Bredele began to be popular during the 18th century and more at the beginning of the 19th century with the apparition of cookie cutters.
